Giving thanks for Thanksgivings break...

So because of my tendency to work painstakingly slow and put everything off until the last minute, I have decided it's time I started my second piece in order to get all my work done. I am really scared of taking photos for some reason, and I am really new to it, so going out this weekend was kind of a struggle. But I ended up getting some ideas for what I wanted to do, although I need to go out and take some more in order to finalize and make my idea concrete. I want this image to be in charcoal and blue pastel of Alice looking into the thistle in search of the white rabbit. My friend had a dress that was perfect for the shot, but I am still trying to think how I want the thistle to look. Here are some shots I got

this month

I know this is bad, but I have yet to start my first piece of art. On Friday I spent my lovely day off in the art room, which was really fun, finishing my self-portrait. I'm wondering if there is a way to figure out how long what type of project will take me, because I work so painstakingly slow. I really want to make some quality pieces (duh) but I also know I struggle to get things done on time. I guess it's discipline, but I really want to find a way to do the best I can in the most efficient way possible. Anyways, that's my post, bordering a whiny diary entry, but I had to do something. If there are any suggestions on how to work the most efficiently, or tips on predicting how long a project will take, let me know! Unfortunately I feel like it's pretty subjective and all about the artist so maybe I'm just destined to figure it out on my own. Anyways , favorite new video thanks to MckyB/the Heymanns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_sfnQDr1-o
